Getting back on our feet<\/h3>\n

Our main storage space was in the village of Satigny, in a place called \u201cLes Perruches\u201d. It was a small barn which did the job. But the countryside is a bankable business, so it had to be destroyed, a building erected in its place instead. The outcome: we had to find a way to get back on our feet.<\/p>\n

Do we build or do we rent?<\/h3>\n

It\u2019s a question that comes up often. It is really worth getting into debt to feel fully at home, or do we rent from others? For us, it was the chance to invest in a more dedicated work solution with on-site storage and located in a more modern building with better storage conditions. And we avoid journeys to and from, so it was a no-brainer!<\/p>\n

Why not make the best of the situation?<\/h3>\n

Roger\u2019s little dream was a wine storehouse with Tuscan barrels. A vaulted cellar in Indian summer tones, which would be home to a few barrels and a table for hosting friends. With such a big project ahead, we didn\u2019t want to let this opportunity pass us by! We also took on the creation of another of Le Paradis\u2019 little gems: the Scent Garden, another of Angel Roger\u2019s secrets.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t

A barrel storehouse, and a Tuscan one no less!<\/h3>\n

We\u2019re very fond of Tuscany. And it\u2019s a part of the family, by the way! The result of all that: a table and chairs and some thirty barrels, bathed in the fiery ochre hues of the walls, eyes on the alcoves tracing the history of our Paradis.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

A Scent Garden<\/h3>\n

Roger\u2019s secret garden is his Scent Garden. A space colonised by frogs and their cascading pond, accompanied by a few dragonflies. A pavilion surrounded by plants and trees, all connected to the world of wine through their didactic panels. To get to know each other better.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

In short, it\u2019s a lovely spot<\/h3>\n

When you come out the cellar, you find yourself in front of the Scent Garden, with its water lilies and flowered corners, the colours and aromas of our wines. There\u2019s no better way to have a good time, and this can be over a tasting or simply a picnic with a glass of wine. We like to share our own little piece of Paradis with those who appreciate just how special it is.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t

We wanted to bring the magic touch of our Angels to the cellar, so that we can better express, through the ambience built up here, the blissful twinkles of our trade. We show you why we believe in the vitality of the soils above all, and we take you into the home of Le Paradis, where it all began. We explain the origins of Le Pont des Soupirs, and we immerse you in the setting with a little dedication to a great Man turned Angel, Philippe Rochat, and to another Angel, his father, who fuelled his passion. In short, we want to take you on a journey to explore our emotion and passion.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Spreading the joy of our passion<\/h3>\n

To spread the joy that we need in order to do our job and wrap our bottles in our history and passion, we needed a spot to match the emotions that wine instils in us. A little spot where living is a joy, where time stands still for a few moments, sheltered from the barrels and the garden. A place where you can settle in and enjoy a drink, and spend some time amongst friends, or to discover wine and its mysteries with the Angels.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\t\n\t<\/div>\n\n\t

Creating a link between nature and wine<\/h3>\n

Connecting the source, the birthplace of everything, with all the treasures it can bestow. That\u2019s the idea behind the Scent Garden. Wine comes from the land, and the vines draw their energy from it by burying their roots within it. Each soil, combined with the grape variety, eventually reveals its personality in a few bottles. Welcomed simply in a glass, the wine also has its secrets to unveil, many of which are connected to everything else that grows at our feet. Now let\u2019s talk about grape varieties, and their characteristics and identities. Each of them, at different stages of their lives, offers a different explosion of flavours and aromas. Making the connection between the life of a wine, its personality and Nature is the raison d\u2019\u00eatre of the Scent Garden.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Yes, but not anyhow<\/h3>\n

We organise ourselves, it is not because we are passionate that we go in all directions. So, what then? Well, the Garden is organised according to themes, aromatic plants, red fruits, fruit trees, a place for everything and everything in its place. Each space has a little sign which tells you what\u2019s at your feet, and how you can connect it with what\u2019s in your glass!<\/p>\n
